The Incarnation (a)

 

1. Read Psalms 72, 110, and 2.  The Jewish people never had a king this great, and most of their kings were terrible.  What king might the psalmists have had in mind when they wrote these psalms?

 

2. Read Daniel 7:1-14.  How does this passage help you understand the meaning of Jesus¡¦ favorite designation of himself?

 

3. Read John 8:52-59.  Do you think Jesus didn¡¦t understand the correct use of grammatical tenses?  What does he mean when he says, ¡§I am¡¨ instead of ¡§I was¡¨?

 

4. Read John 10:27-30 and 14:1-9.  Whose hands are we in, the hands of Jesus or the hands of God?  What is the good news for Thomas and Philip?

 

•   Memorize the names of all the New Testament books in the correct order.
