1. Read John 8:2-11. 

(a)    What is the goal of the Pharisees here?  What is Jesus¡¦ goal?

(b)   Does Jesus imply that the woman¡¦s sin is not serious?

(c)    How does Jesus¡¦ teaching here apply to your life?

 

2. Read Luke 7:36-50.

(a)    Do you think this woman could be the same woman who met Jesus in John 8?  Why?

(b)   Besides being a sinner, might the woman have been mentally unbalanced?  Why?

(c)    How does Jesus surprise Simon?

 

3. Read Mathew 9:9-11 and Mark 2:13-17.

(a)    Do you think Matthew (aka Levi) had seen and heard Jesus before this?  Why?

(b)   What was the greatest challenge for Matthew that day?

(c)    What was the greatest challenge for the other disciples the next day?

 

4. Read Luke 19:1-10.

(a)    How did Jesus astound everybody in town that day, including Zacchaeus?

(b)   What happened between verses 6 and 8 to change Zacchaeus so drastically?
